Kate Moss sets the trend

As one of the world's most famous supermodels, Kate Moss must be used to setting trends.

And it now seems even Hollywood stars are keen to copy the catwalk queen's style.

Cameron Diaz arrived for her appointment at a California hair salon carrying a photograph of the British model.

The picture, on A4 paper, was a headshot of 35-year-old Miss Moss, with her recognisable tousled, blonde hair.

‘Cameron is obviously a fan of Kate's hair do,' one eyewitness said. ‘She took the photograph with her and showed the stylist exactly what she wanted.

‘Kate must be very flattered that someone like Cameron wants to copy her look.'

Miss Diaz, 36, took the picture of Miss Moss to her appointment at Byron and Tracey in Beverly Hills.

The actress was spotted carrying the photo in her right hand as she stepped into the salon, which is famous for its celebrity clientele.

After discussing the look with Miss Diaz, a stylist placed foil highlights all over the Shrek star's blonde hair.

Miss Diaz spent around three hours in the salon, chatting on her mobile phone, sending text messages and reading magazines.

She pulled a string of funny faces as she sat in the leather seat with her hair covered in pieces of foil.

The actress also chatted with Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy Ferguson, who had an appointment at Byron and Tracey at the same time.

The 33-year-old singer, nicknamed Fergie, struck up conversation with Miss Diaz while her hair was doused in hair dye and protected with a plastic cover.

Byron and Tracey, one of Beverly Hills' most exclusive hair salons, is named after its owners - stylist Byron Williams and colourist Tracey Cunningham.

Their other clients include singer Jennifer Lopez, actress Lindsay Lohan and TV star.
